Stores Supervisor Section Lead : Aspatria Cumbria
Up to 30500 d.o.e benefits
39 hrs/wk Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4pm and Friday 6am to 1pm.

MacArthur Recruitment is seeking a Stores Supervisor Section Lead to join a successful manufacturing business based in NorthWest Cumbria.

The role is to lead the team of store people in the receipt and storage of raw materials onsite and support allocation of raw material to production. Ideally youll have your FLT license be competent with admin and able to lead a team with a constant mind for Continuous Improvement. The focus of this company is on their customers people and product.

Person Specification for the role of Stores Supervisor Section Lead :
  • The role is measured by the metrics of Safety Quality Service Costs and People
  • Continuous improvement background Lean 5S 6S and similar are a bonus
  • Provide visible and flexible administrative and supervisory support throughout the Stores and Raw Materials function.
  • Liaison for production and logistics functions.
  • Manage and supervise the unloading of Raw Materials in order to meet the requirements of the Production Plan to ensure schedule completion.
  • Ensure safe effective and efficient utilisation of labour to deliver highquality products at the best possible cost.
  • To undertake regular training to maintain own competencies whilst supporting the organisation and facilitating training for Stores Operatives.
  • Ensure the Fork lift trucks are maintained to a high standard and all H&S requirements are met.
  • Support development and coaching of the Stores Operatives whilst also providing relief cover as required.
  • Support the positive promotion of the company brand
  • Managing a team of 56 Stores People

Principal Accountabilities for the role of Stores Supervisor Section Lead :
  • People Provide leadership encouragement and direction to ensure that the raw material stores team achieves the best possible results in the following areas:
  • Safety as measured by safety metrics; promote a safe environment for all ensuring compliance with UK legislation. Investigating Accidents and ensuring use of PPE.
  • Quality as measured by internal audits; ensure delivery into production and no fault passed forward.
  • Materials ensuring waste is minimised in all its forms and reporting concerns to Technical and Quality teams as required.
  • Equipment Provide technical support and maintenance of equipment to the highest standard.
  • Systems Support application of 6S ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Legal ensure operatives are working to up to date safety quality and people policy and procedures.
