Reporting to the Associate Dean for Scholarly Communication & Collections Services the Scholarly Communications Librarian leads and coordinates scholarly communication initiatives across the university community working closely with faculty researchers students and library colleagues. This work will include providing consultations and workshops on scholarly publishing author rights and open access. The position will deliver training for faculty and graduate students on research impact metrics and publishing strategies. It will also offer technical support for digital scholarship tools and platforms as well as develop new services to support emerging forms of scholarly communication.
Building and maintaining relationships with key campus units such as the Office of Institutional Research and Analysis and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs will be essential in aligning efforts and enhancing the universitys research impact. This position manages the Open Access Publishing Fund assisting community members with their publishing and licensing choices while actively promoting open access materials and institutional repository content. The librarian actively engages in scholarly activities through research and publication and participates in professional organizations as well as library and campus committees. Appointment will be made at the rank of Assistant Professor nontenure track.

Work Schedule
Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m accordance with the Universitys flexible work policy this position is eligible to be considered for partial remote work. Further details regarding this plan will be determined with the hiring manager and are dependent on the division and team specific needs.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $68000 $72000.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting.
