Position Function:
Lead and coordinate efforts related to the Mississippi Advanced Composites (MAC) Training Academy. Leads the development of scopes budgets and reports for ACIrelated research proposals and projects with a focus on training and outreach. Works with government and commercial partners academic partners and other research stakeholders to track training progress and budget milestones and follow project schedules. Ensures all activities and projects meet applicable deadlines budgets and highquality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Lead the development growth and sustainment of the Mississippi Advanced Composites
(MAC) Training Academy
2. Lead all workforce development outreach training and student engagement including all
external and internal coordination curriculum development scheduling communication
human resources and marketing for the MAC Training Academy and other ACI programs.
3. Supervise MAC Training Academy employees students and operations.
4. Coordinate project management activities for other ACI related projects.
5. Track proposal and project deadlines.
6. Ensure project organization and plan .
7. Provide guidance to researchers and stakeholders as directed by the Program Manager
8. Monitor and report progress of research tasks and deliverables.
9. Track project issues and risks.
10. Prepare and submit appropriate progress and summary reports as specified.
11. Works with the institutes technical experts to develop composite training/exposure
curricula
12. Leads meetings/events including trainings customer tours and student engagements.
13. Leads development and coordination of proposals presentations and other projects
directly related to workforce development training and outreach.
14. Other duties as assigned

Some 15 employees Graduate Research Assistants and student workers)
Supervise jr. employees/coordinators and other affiliates of the MAC training center.
Supervises all activity and coordination of curriculum development and for the
MAC Training Academy
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in a related field; Three years experience in workforce development or placement Project coordination operations business management or related field.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge formal education or defined experience in workforce development
placement or student outreach.
Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
Experience in managing projects and leading project teams.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office Products and other computerbased programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organizational skills to include time management and multitasking.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
No unusual physical requirements. Requires limited lifting of files and records and
nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
Frequent External imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond ones control;
interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate the nature or volume of work
with certainty beyond a few days; meeting deadlines and coordination of unrelated
activities are key to the position; involves conflictresolution or similar interactions
involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis.
Job frequently requires walking sitting reaching talking hearing and handling objects
with hands.
