Job Description
Amazon seeks a Principal Finance Manager to partner with the companys Corporate Development organization and other senior business leaders focusing on the Amazon Web Services segment (AWS).
Key job responsibilities
The person in this high visibility role will be responsible for evaluating a wide range of business opportunities including M&A investments and other and strategic opportunities. In addition the person in this position will assist in leading due diligence efforts and conduct extensive research on industries potential partners and competitors communicating findings and recommendations to members of Amazons senior management and executive team. This role will likely manage 13 individuals (either immediately or in the near future) depending on the capabilities of the candidate.
About the team
This role will be focused on analyzing opportunities across a number of areas across Cloud Computing and Enterprise Software As a member/leader of a small but highly impactful team this role both reviews the analysis of others as well as serves as an individual contributor as projects require.
10 years of corporate development private equity investment banking or other transactionrelated / due diligence experience
BA / BS degree required
MBA
High proficiency with valuation modeling and techniques
Strong analytical skills
Fluency with Excel and Capital IQ / FactSet
Excellent business judgment
Persuasive oral/written communication skills
Financial and valuation modeling skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $150000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $222700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
