ASL Ast Inst/Inst/Ast Prof Fixed Term
The Department of Linguistics Languages and Cultures at Michigan State University seeks one parttime FixedTerm American Sign Language Instructor (or Assistant Instructor) or FixedTerm Assistant Professor of American Sign Language. This is a fixedterm twomonth summer position beginning May 12 2025. Rank is determined by highest degree with a Bachelors required for Assistant Instructor position a Masters degree required for an Instructor position and a PhD required for a FixedTerm Assistant Professor position. All degrees must be conferred by the time of hire.
The successful candidate will teach one fourcredit combined asynchronous 150 minutes) plus two 50minute synchronous sessions of ASL each summer session. The first summer session class meets from May 12 2025 June 27 2025 and the second summer session class meets from July 1 2025 August 15 2025. The synchronous sessions meet on Thursdays from 45pm and 56pm.
Position is planned to recur every Summer Semester
