Union settlement Adult Education is seeking a Microsoft Office Specialist Instructor (Mornings) to provide in person support that reports to the Adult Education Director. The Education Specialist has the overall responsibility for the development and implementation of the academic curriculum program compliance and quality assurance. The agency has embraced the concept of a fully integrated system of care for all consumers of service. This requires that all Agency staff assess the clients needs holistically and see it as their responsibility to connect the client with services need internal or external to the agency regardless of the door through which the consumer enters the system. The ideal candidate will be a hardworking professional able to undertake a variety of teaching approaches. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.
Responsible for teaching students in our training programs in classroom and handson management of the Hawks Nest Caf at the Lanza Center. The instructor is responsible for sound educational practices and the academic development of each student. The instructor will also manage their classroom environment and promote a positive and engaging learning experience provide support tutoring and other assistance to students as needed implement Instructors are to model the professional behaviors language and activities of a Chef/food service professional as well the expected behaviors of youth throughout our programs.
