Position Summary
This position reports to the Director for New Student Transitions and First Year Experience. The Coordinator has the following duties and responsibilities but not limited to: Oversight for the recruitment selection training and supervision of the Spartan Orientation Staff; and SOAR and RWW programming.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters Degree from a fouryear university or college in the area of higher education administration college student personnel student development or a related field or Bachelors degree from a fouryear university or college with two years of relevant experience. Ability to develop and implement presentations and workshops to diverse audiences. Excellent oral written and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of a team. Basic knowledge of technologies including word processing excel email PowerPoint and social media. Be available and willing to work irregular office hours during certain times of the year.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in developing and implementing programs in support of student transition success and retention. Experience developing and supporting diverse student leaders and the ability to plan implement and evaluate training for student staff. Experience supervising and/or advising undergraduate or graduate students. Experience in largescale programming planning implementation and evaluation. Experience with digital and print communications as well as social media strategies.
