Stafford County is actively seeking applicants for the position of Director of Information Technology (IT). The mission of the IT Department is to provide information technology leadership products and services for Stafford County government and its citizens while ensuring the security and integrity of government resources and data. This position serves as the Director of the Countys IT department and is responsible for directing the operation of the programs and staff of the department. Work is performed under the management of the Chief Information Services Officer.
The salary range for the position is $122200 to $185000 negotiable dependent upon the individuals qualifications and experience. Benefits include but are not limited to participation in the Virginia Retirement System; medical dental and vision; group life and disability insurances; vacation administrative holiday and sick leave; employee assistance program; professional dues and conference expenses.

The successful candidate will hold a bachelors degree in information technology or related field Masters degree preferred and ten 10 years of increasingly responsible experience in a Chief Information Officer or Director of Information Technology role within a complex and diverse organization which values technology as a tool for efficiency and support.
