Job Description
Key Accountabilities are clusted as follows:
RESEARCH & VALUE ADDITION
Develop projects in crop nutrition solutions (Macro/Secondary/Micro Nutrients Growth regulators)
Recipe design : Optimize formulations and enhance quality of existing technological solutions
Evaluate technologies as per regulatory norms in labs and in field trials in various crops
Collaborate and Liaison with external agencies for data generation and licensing as per approved norms
INFRASTRUCTURE & PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Infrastructure upgradation to develop longterm competitive edge (instrumentation prototyping m/c etc)
Development of R&D budget tracking and monitoring progress against the goals.
NPD research projects management to ensure that they are meeting deadlines and milestones throughout
their marketplace
Design and oversee all aspects of NPD programs from fieldwork to data analysis.
NETWORKING & LINKAGES
Develop and grow institutional relationships in India and abroad to access new technologies.
Coordinate with and contribute to the marketing programs to align Research needs with evolving customer
needs.
Collaborate with Regulatory departments for compliance
TRAINING & QUALITY
Training Associates (Lab Plant Field) to ensure endtoend quality of the product
Collaborate with Quality department for design and review of traceability of quality
Skills Competencies Knowledge & Desired Experiences
The candidate should possess good understanding of Crop physiology Biotechnology Biochemistry plant
molecular biology and agronomy of plants
Working knowledge of Analytical Chemistry or Biochemistry for evaluating products via HPLC GC AAS and
Spectrophotometer etc.
Proven track of developing effective product for plant nutrition in the Macro/Secondary/Micro/Growth
regulator space
Working knowledge of different modules product development from experimental design research
methodologies statistical and inferential analysis and trialing software
Knowledge of product regulatory framework is essential (FCO: Fertilizer control order CIB regulations)
Direct handson driving experience of research program management from ideation to product launch
Ability to create accountability and lead by example as well as proven managerial experience and
interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
To stay uptodate on the developments to keep skills relevant and maintain a competitive advantage at the
workplace.
Willingness to travel is a must.
