PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Under general supervision responsible for driving district vehicles to deliver products and/or pick up products or as directed to meet the needs of the district. Additionally this position fulfills all functions within the warehouse or other locations as needed. All duties to be performed to maximize availability of the districts resources to provide equitable learning opportunities for all students and ensure safety and quality services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid Texas drivers Class C license required
Clear driving record required
Certified forklift operator preferred (required within 45 days of employment)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions
Knowledge of material handling equipment such as 2wheel hand trucks hydraulic hand pallet trucks etc.
Knowledge of general shipping and receiving procedures
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Knowledge of accounting for inventory
Proficiency in Computers and Microsoft Office
Experience:
Two 2 years in a warehouse shipping/receiving/delivery position preferred

Pay Date: Monthly
Hourly Pay Range:
Minimum: $14.45
Midpoint: $17.30
Maximum: $20.15
Note:Starting pay for a new hire in a pay range plan will be determined individually based on each persons jobrelated experience and salaries paid to peer employees in the same position with similar experience.

Computer barcode scanner calculator copier and other office machines Counterweight lift truck (forklift) 2wheel hand trucks hydraulic hand pallet trucks stock carts delivery step vans 2 1/2 ton truck with Tommy lift and mailroom equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands:
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal or written); maintain emotional control under stress; ability to handle several projects at the same time with frequent interruptions meeting delivery schedules in a timely manner ability to plan and organize work within time constraints.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Regular lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds occasional lifting or moving items weighing up to 100 pounds occasional prolonged and irregular hours frequent working with temperature extremes (heat from cooking stoves and cold from walkin coolers and freezers) ability to work around moving objects or vehicles frequent walking and standing on uneven surfaces frequent contact with electrical and mechanical kitchen equipment.
