Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement plays a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant and connected alumni community by cultivating and strengthening relationships with alumni and friends of UNC Greensboro. This individual is responsible for creating and maintaining geographic identity and affinitybased groups for identifying establishing (and maintaining) a volunteer pipeline fostering alumni relationships and maintaining records for effective volunteer management. They will oversee an array of programs and initiatives social media and online engagement for Alumni.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree Four years of experience in a professional position preferably in higher education or related relevant experience. Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with various levels of professionals internal and external to the organization; including identifying recruiting and managing volunteers. Experience with developing implementing and evaluating new strategies programs initiatives and procedures. Ability to proactively manage several projects at once and set and meet deadlines. Strong oral written communication and presentation skills. Ability to travel regionally work weekends and evenings. Ability to handle a fastpaced and results oriented environment with the ability to work in a timely manner. Work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft office suite. Experience with social media and online engagement strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ERP systems Banner in particular. Experience with EverTrue or similar donor experience platforms.
