Reporting to the Deputy Director of Advancement the Senior Manager of Annual Giving and Donor Relations will be responsible for developing and executing strategy for acquisition retention and upgrading of annual fund donors to PJ Library with a goal of growing the annual giving program to feed the major giving pipeline. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for building and executing a stewardship and cultivation plan for all donors. Through personal conversations stewardship reporting and print materials they will create creative ways to convey gratitude to all donors.
Annual Giving
In partnership with the Deputy Director of Advancement develop a longterm strategic plan for growing the annual fund. This includes strategy budget timeline and best practices for each project managing them throughout the production process analyzing and presenting results and adjusting as needed.
Execute the solicitation strategies of the annual giving program ensuring goals and metrics established by the Deputy Director of Advancement and the Chief Philanthropy Officer are met.
Manage and keep current an annual communications calendar.
Design and implement segmented strategies for all audiences including current donors parents and grandparents.
Draft communications for direct mail appeals emails personalized letters to donors and potential donors and other fundraising materials.
Supervise the production and mailing of all print and electronic solicitation pieces. Coordinate and communicate effectively with project managers and across departments to ensure timelines are met.
Manage annual dayofgiving challenge.
Make recommendations for new tactics and processes that can enhance annual giving effectiveness.
Supervise the Stewardship Coordinator who serves as a project manager for annual giving and stewardship projects.
Donor Relations
In collaboration with the Deputy Director of Advancement develop recognition guidelines and implement programs which recognize and encourage increasing levels of annual support.
Work in collaboration with data management colleagues to manage the comprehensive acknowledgement program.
Supervise the Advancement Assistant to ensure the regular production updating and mailing (via mail and email) of donor acknowledgement letters. Oversee gift processing to ensure it is effective and efficient.
Refresh acknowledgement language/ideas to keep outreach items fresh and up to date.
Personally thank leadership level annual fund donors through phone calls emails and possible zoom conversations.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree
Minimum of 57 years of experience in annual giving donor relations or related field.
At least 1 3 years of experience managing staff.
The ability to implement fundraising best practices while adapting to the uniqueness of the audience or program.
Strong and creative writing skills.
Can tell stories through words and visuals understanding how the two work together in print and online.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook and project management tools (Wrike preferred) with an understanding of database management.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Location
This position is based out of the home office in Agawam Massachusetts and requires inoffice work 3 days per week.
Compensation
A competitive salary ranging from $85000 $100000 annually commensurate with experience.
