Job Description
Position Title: Costumed Character Coordinator
Rate of Pay: $18.00 per hour
Position Purpose:
Support and assists the Entertainment department at all times in the daytoday oversight of the Costumed Characters program. Monitors characters and hosts and upholds performance quality at all times in order to maintain the quality of the guest experience at the annual OC Fair. This is a seasonal/temporary position not to exceed 122 days.

Essential Functions:
- Assists with Costume Character/Hosts schedules and organizes routes schedules and breaks.
- Oversees Costumes Character/Hosts to ensure adherence to proper operating procedures at all times.
- Maintains the integrity of all Costumed Character presentation costumes and the guest experience.
- Helps to encourage Costume Characters enthusiasm and motivation throughout the duration of the OC Fair.
- Responds to the needs of the staff. Works alongside the team and demonstrates OC Fairs performance/service expectations.
- Ensures that all costumes are properly cared for and that all costumes & equipment used are handled and stored correctly before during and after use each day.
- Replenishes any supplies as needed.
- Acts as a liaison and support for the Entertainment Supervisor on a daily basis. Informs them of any issues or problems needed to be addressed as situations occur.
- Seek solutions to any performance issues in cooperation with Entertainment Supervisor.
- Assists in dealing with all emergency situations that may occur.

Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience in theme park entertainment live performance stage management education in a group leadership role or other related fields.
- To be able to enthusiastically represent OC Fair by displaying a positive attitude high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
- Able to speak and communicate clearly and comfortably on an individual level in small groups large groups and in different environments/settings.
- Selfmotivated and takes initiative.
- Responsible and dependable.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Leads by example with a demonstrated history of supporting colleagues and performers in a team environment. Strong problemsolving and dedication to providing outstanding customer service.
- Requires the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to work outside the normal business day/week. Must be available for the entire OC Fair dates (closed Monday & Tuesday) and when required for special engagements outside the normal OC Fair hours/days. Working evenings and weekends a must.
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time in an outdoor setting during days and evenings.
Preferences:
- Must possess a valid California drivers license
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Experience working and leading a team.

Will work in a fastpaced environment in both indoor and outdoor locations during all types of weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud when outdoors or in performance areas and the employee must be able to tolerate loud music.
