Job Description
The Cape Girardeau Public School District is seeking a dedicated ELA/Social Studies teacher for Central Middle School for the 202526 academic year.
Brief Description of Position:
The teacher is responsible for creating a classroom environment that develops in each student skills of listening speaking reading and writing that are fundamental to effective communication and literate citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in education
- Valid Missouri teaching certificationfor appropriate grade level
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Skilled in human relations leadership and conflict management
- Knowledgeable of teaching techniques that meet the diverse needs of all students
- Sensitivity to the developmental stages and overall wellbeing of all students
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degreein content area(s)
- Working knowledge of Professional Learning Communities
