The Role

  • Plan and teach engaging lessons: Design and deliver well-structured inquiry-based lessons that stimulate curiosity and foster a love of learning following the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and aligned with the British primary framework.
  • Teach a small well-supported class: Lead a class of approximately 20 Year 2 students working closely with a full-time Teaching Assistant to provide individualised support and ensure every child can reach their potential.
  • Differentiate for diverse learners: Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of all learners including those requiring additional support or extra challenge ensuring inclusive and equitable classroom practice.
  • Create an inspiring learning environment: Establish a safe positive and stimulating classroom atmosphere that encourages students to think critically work collaboratively and develop independence and resilience.
  • Monitor and report progress: Use a range of assessment strategies to track student progress provide regular constructive feedback to students and maintain strong proactive communication with parents through meetings reports and informal updates.
  • Collaborate as part of a professional team: Work closely with colleagues to share best practices contribute to curriculum development and uphold the schools strong ethos of excellence innovation and holistic child development.
  • Contribute to wider school life: Participate in school events extracurricular activities and community initiatives enriching the wider educational experience for students.

Requirements

  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE QTS or equivalent).

  • Minimum 3 years of primary teaching experience.

  • Native or fluent English speaker.
