Trading Platform ETF

We are seeking a dynamic senior IT technical specialist with a wealth of experience in asset management specifically in building front office (buy side) trading platforms example ETF primary market trading solutions and/or Fixed income portfolio optimization and trading solutions. You will be at the forefront of designing implementing and maintaining cutting edge IT solutions that empower our ETF product line ensuring they are not only robust but also scalable to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving market. Your expertise will be crucial in driving innovation and enhancing our operational efficiencies making a significant impact on our strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement IT infrastructure and applications to support ETF product development and management.

Collaborate with product managers data scientists and investment teams to identify technical requirements and translate them into actionable IT solutions.

Understand data sources structures and challenges related to data quality design robust algorithms that can efficiently process and analyze large volumes of data in real time or near real time.

Create dashboard and visualizations to present findings and insights related to data quality to stakeholders.

Continuously monitor and refine anomaly detection systems incorporating feedback and new data to improve performance stay updated on the latest technologies and data quality best practices to enhance detection capabilities.

Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and implement improvements to optimize efficiency.

Stay up to date with industry trends regulatory changes and emerging technologies related to ETFs and asset management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or a related field masters degrees preferred.
• Minimum of eight years of experience in IT roles within the financial services or asset management industry with a focus on ETFs
• Strong experience in developing and managing IT solutions for financial products particularly ETFs.
• Experience/exposure to generative AI and machine learning technologies with hands on experience in applying these tools in a financial context will be a plus
• Solid understanding of data management database systems and data analytics
• Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the technical and nontechnical stakeholder

Technology Acumen:

• Proven experience in leveraging cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP for hosting and scaling investment management applications ensuring flexibility and scalability within modern resilient infrastructures.
• Microservice architecture Demonstrate ability to adopt and implement a microservices based approach to enhance the flexibility scalability and maintainability of applications supporting efficient development and deployment.

Investment Acumen:

• Understanding ETFs: A comprehensive grasp of premiums/discounts tracking errors liquidity and historical behaviors across various ETF types (e.g. indexbased actively managed thematic and smart beta) is important. This includes consideration of regulatory and compliance issues as well as challenges related to fund launches such as fund management seed capital requirements and relationships with authorized participants.
• Financial Market Structure: A thorough understanding of the structure of financial marketsincluding market participants trading venues regulatory environments and the mechanics of price formation and liquidityis critical for effective market navigation.
• API management Experience in implementing robust API management practices to securely expose and manage APIs for both internal and external consumption facilitating system integration and seamless data flow.
• Data integration and ETL Expertise in developing efficient data integration and ETL processes to ensure the data consistency across systems crucial for accurate analysis and reporting.
• Real time and intraday data utilization Strong background in capturing processing and analyzing real time and intraday market data leveraging streaming technologies to inform trading decisions and investment strategies with an emphasis on the importance of timely data for informed decision making.
• Experience with building real time timeseries data base and leveraging the data into realtime decisionmaking process.
