Business Systems Analyst 4
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst (Level 4) to support large-scale software development and IT projects. This role acts as a vital liaison between business owners and technical teams ensuring that project requirements are captured understood and implemented effectively.
The Analyst will be responsible for defining project scope gathering and documenting requirements facilitating collaboration and validating system changes all with a strong emphasis on communication adaptability and stakeholder alignment.
Key Responsibilities
Elicit and analyze business requirements define scope and identify potential risks
Translate business needs into process flows functional requirements and technical deliverables
Support the software development lifecycle by facilitating collaboration across teams
Conduct stakeholder interviews requirement workshops and user acceptance testing
Produce critical documentation: Business Requirement Docs Process Flows Use Cases Context Diagrams State Diagrams Test Scripts RFPs and Training Materials
Track business outcomes (user adoption engagement) and recommend improvements
Ensure traceability between business requirements and technical implementation
Break down features into MVPs and help developers understand the broader business context
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
5 years of Business Analysis (use cases requirement gathering stakeholder management)
4 years creating Business Process Flows and documentation
5 years experience with Business Analysis tools & techniques
5 years experience with Waterfall methodology (Agile knowledge a plus)
4 years facilitating requirement sessions and business validation
Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration
Adaptable self-reflective and comfortable in dynamic project environments
Preferred/Desired
CBAP Certification Highly desired
Technical knowledge of IT systems development processes or data structures
3 years in Product Management or working directly with product teams
