Job Description
Overview
Seeking a new career challenge Then Woolpert is seeking you! Woolpert is hiring a BIM Coordinator to join our dynamic BIM Management team at our Johannesburg South Africa office. This position reports to the Discipline Leader and is responsible for supporting a wide range of project teams focused on mission critical industrial & civic projects. Qualified candidates will be familiar with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC Project Setup ACC Template Management Build). Priority will be given to candidates who have coding skills.
Responsibilities
As a BIM Coordinator at Woolpert you will:
- Advocate for BIM best practices ensuring adherence to Project BIM Plans and standards.
- Review BIM files for consistency and accuracy proposing model adjustments when necessary and coordinating with relevant team members for implementation.
- Utilize advanced collaborative tools such as the Autodesk Cloud Services Revit Rhino and other advanced technologies to foster multidisciplinary coordination in a BIMcentric environment.
- Provide coaching and guidance to personnel on BIM implementation and applications.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to align BIM modeling strategies model exchanges quality control and delivery protocols.
- Work closely with project managers and other technicians to complete project task. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Architectural Degree/ Honours / Masters or Professional Architectural Technologist National Diploma or Btech.
- At least 2 years of BIM experience.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Understanding of Revit Family creation.
- Advanced Revit troubleshooting capabilities.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC Project Setup ACC Template Management Build).
- Familiarity with Rhino Sketchup AutoCAD 3ds MAX and other software.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
- Additional proficiency with Revit Addins (Ideate Avail Guardian PyRevit Enscape) is considered an asset.
- Coding skills are advantageous and would be used in more advanced projects inhouse but not required.
