Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daytoday operations of an assigned recreation programs. Develops implements coordinates and evaluates plans and programs designed to ensure that the needs of children youth and families are met. Ensures that program standards guidelines and policies of BGCO are maintained and that all licensing requirements are met.
- Assists with the recruitment of program staff and volunteers including conducting interviews selection hiring and orientation.
- Supervises program staff by performing duties such as assigning work providing feedback on performance and conducting performance evaluations
- Ensures that accurate program and client records are maintained and that confidentiality is a priority.
- Responsible for the coordination of quality and diverse programming. Works closely with the Manager on program development procedures and evaluations.
- Manages program budgets.
- Ensures effective communication with staff and families.
Qualifications:
- Three years recent related experience including oneyear supervisory or administrative experience or equivalent combination of education training and experience and/or Diploma in a related human/ social service field.
- Demonstrated teamwork leadership and supervisory skills.
- First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain within three months
- Class 5 Drivers License and willingness to obtain Class 4 Drivers License
- Successfully completion of the Agency screening process including criminal record check
This position is open to all applicants.
This position requires union membership.
Hours: 35 hours per week Tuesday to Saturday evenings required. Hours dependent seasonally on program needs.
Rate of Pay: $24.69 per hour
