Join ESM Prep as an Academic Mentor! Were looking for passionate educators to provide highquality tutoring in PreCalc Biology and Chemistry as well as SAT/ACT test prep (test prep training provided). Work with students in the South Bay Area enjoy a flexible schedule and earn $60$70/hr while making a meaningful impact on students academic journeys.
Overview
ESM Prep is a group of passionate educators seeking new Test Prep Mentors excited to work at the intersection of education and business. Founded in 2010 we have created a supportive and dynamic learning environment that fosters growth and success for our students. Today ESM Prep is part of Guidewell Education a newlyformed missiondriven company representing a range of successful legacy brands in the education space. Together ESM and these brands provide a full suite of services including academic tutoring college counseling executive function coaching and test preparation to students across the world.
Job Description
ESM Prep is seeking energetic engaging and kind tutors in the Bay area who can support their students holistically as mentors. The tutors in this position will assist students oneonone in preparing for college by readying them for the ACT and SAT exams tutoring multiple academic subjects and mentoring themthrough their overall high school academic journey.
We call our tutors Academic Mentors because we prioritize the holistic development of each of our students. All applicants should be passionate about working with youth and should have previous experience tutoring teaching and/or coaching.
Job Requirements
- prior experience tutoring or teaching math and science with a minimumcontent knowledge in precalc Biology and Chemistry at the high school level required.
- Bachelors degree.
- Must be able to tutor inperson 2 to 3 days a week mostly in the South Bay area.
- You must be available for inperson tutoring in students homes.
- Additional expertise in high school subjects such ascalculusphysics history English Spanish computer science economics SSAT and/or ISEE is a plus!
- Available parttime. Tutoring usually occurs on weekday evenings (after 3 pm) and/or on weekends. Typical work schedule is SundayThursday.
- Available to tutor for a full school year or longer.
- Reliable internet access.
- Prior experience teaching or tutoring ACT/SAT or willingness to go through our advanced test prep training is a big plus and would open you up to more work opportunities.
Compensation/Benefits:
- wage: $60$70/hr (academic tutoring in high school subjectsstarts at $60/hr while test prep tutoring starts at$70/hr)
