This role exists to protect lives and empower frontline teams across two critical Ohio sites Saybrook and Huron through riskbased safety leadership regulatory mastery and practical peoplefirst systems.
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
Own the Safety Mission: Lead with a safe is smart mindset reinforcing a proactive bootsontheground safety culture tailored to each plant s needs.
Restore & Elevate Huron: Prioritize immediate systems improvements and coaching at the Huron site which is undergoing HSE rebuilding while continuing momentum at the stronger Saybrook location.
Customize from Command: Take enterpriselevel HSE tools and operationalize them on the floor adapting implementing and improving with autonomy.
Engage & Influence: Be visible and trusted with line teams plant managers and senior leaders. Coach with credibility and drive change through relationships not just policies.
Investigate & Prevent: Conduct highquality incident investigations with full followthrough turning root cause insights into actionable learning.
Travel & Flexibility: Work primarily onsite at Saybrook and Huron (with office availability at one location based on residence); leverage mileage reimbursement for sitetosite travel.

Veteran Leadership: This role targets former E5 or E6 military leaders especially squad leaders or NCOs who ve managed people risk and paperwork in dynamic conditions.
HandsOn Professional: This isn t a policy role it s bootsonfloor execution with authority to make decisions and elevate safety systems across two different environments.

Requirements
Must have served in the U.S. Army Navy Marine Corps Air Force Coast Guard Space Force Reserves or National Guard.
Leadership experience. Looking for senior E5E6. Hands on supervisor not someone behind a desk.
Hiring manager is looking for someone with a Bachelors degree or pursuing a degree. This way he can get you certified for career development.
Strong safety background. You are not building the program but implementing it. Must be a safety first person.
