Job Description

Job Description
The Department of English at Syracuse University is seeking applications for a tenureline Assistant Professor in twentieth and twentyfirst centuries Native American and/or Global Anglophone Indigenous Literatures (including but not limited to what are often named the Hemispheric Amricas and Caribbean Australia AotearoaNew Zealand and Oceania). Topics of particular interest include environmental and ecological criticism disability studies and poetry and poetics conceived from a comparative transIndigenous perspective. The focus on literatures and cultural practices could include consideration of Indigenous languages and the multiple and varied systems of meaning and knowledgeproduction within what has been termed the decolonizing epistemologies of the Global South

Responsibilities
Pursue an active research agenda. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Serve on dissertation committees. Contribute service to appropriate units across the university.

Qualifications
PhD in relevant field.
