The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center ranked the No. 1 hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and tied for the No. 1 hospital in Texas by U.S. News and World Report (2023-2024) is seeking applicants for Chief of Neuroradiology and Intervention. This individual is expected to make a significant impact in the field of Neuroradiology by leading the team and contributing to a collegial environment that will promote the academic and clinical growth of the division.
The candidate must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree or foreign equivalent have completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Neuroradiology be American Board of Radiology-certified and have an ABR-subspecialty certification in Neuroradiology. Eligibility for full Texas medical license and its acquisition prior to start of employment is required. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
The candidate will be a committed leader and have the ability to provide high-quality clinical services; initiate research projects; actively engage in teaching of residents and fellows; participate in quality improvement and value initiatives; and assist division members to excel in their academic missions. The candidate will be a committed leader with deep expertise in all aspects of neuroradiology including interpreting the full range of diagnostic imaging studies knowledge of image-guided spine procedures and providing consultations to referring physicians. The candidate is expected to be superior in all aspects of diagnostic neuroradiology and capable of teaching CT angiography myelography and MRI to neuroradiology fellows Radiology residents and medical students through didactic lectures and participation in various multidisciplinary conferences.
