Position Overview
As a Property Lawyer you will focus exclusively on property matters handling a broad range of tasks in the property law domain. Your role includes managing everyday conveyancing files such as residential property transactions and largescale developments and overseeing leasing matters across retail commercial and industrial sectors.
You will also assist with drafting contracts of sale ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. A key aspect of your role will be supporting Special Counsel in their practice including property development projects and highvalue matters requiring detailed legal analysis and expertise.
This role offers exposure to a variety of property sectors including commercial industrial residential government and strata real estate providing a dynamic and rewarding legal experience.
Key Responsibilities
Property Transactions
Manage conveyancing matters for residential properties including sales purchases and transfers.
Advise property developers on subdivisions offtheplan sales and largescale property developments.
Oversee the due diligence process for property acquisitions and disposals.
Contract Drafting and Compliance
Draft contracts of sale ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
Leasing
Handle retail commercial and industrial leasing transactions.
Prepare lease agreements and assist with lease surrenders variations and renewals.
Support for Special Counsel
Assist Special Counsel with highvalue transactions development projects and bespoke legal advice tailored to corporate and government clients.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Admitted as a qualified lawyer in Australia.
12 years of experience in a property law practice.
Key Competencies
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong legal drafting skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Highly clientfocused with a commitment to resolving issues promptly in a fastpaced environment.
Proven ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills displaying confidence and professionalism.
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
