Manufacturing Manager Cruise Missile Systems

Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Manager to join our Cruise Missile Systems team in St. Charles MO!

This is an opportunity to manage multiple production lines within Cruise Missile Systems.

This position will be exposed to mature production and production programs still going through development; will lead a team and use the Boeing Production System to drive continuous improvement eliminate waste and achieve targets on specific key performance indicators; will also maintain positive relationships with other teams and drive a deep understanding of the Boeing Production System principles and standards production health and problem solving.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines

  • Develops and executes business plans policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies

  • Acquires resources and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes

  • Manages develops and motivates employees

  • Additional duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than 3 years of experience leading projects and/or teams

  • More than 3 years of experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment

  • More than 3 years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word Excel and PowerPoint Teams etc.

  • Experience leading a team formally or informally

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • Active Secret Clearance or higher have or have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
  • Experience managing with collective bargaining agreement and/or a unionrepresented workforce
  • More than 3 years of experience implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements
  • More than 3 years of experience using Lean and/or Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools
  • Utilization of MESci with production and fabrication work orders
  • Utilization of eVisuals TrackPlan

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance PostStart is required.
