Implement systems to improve office efficiencies.
Ensures quality of patient care is provided.
Ensures effective and efficient utilization of information systems.
Demonstrates Managerial Skills.
Maintenance of Budget.
Ensures that monthly operating expenses and that actual expenses are at or below budget with an allowance of an 5 unexplainable variance.
Monitors monthly revenues to maintain established budget projections within a 5 unexplainable variance.
Manages human resources to minimize excessive office staffing costs.
Promotes effective Communication.
Communicates with clarity and composure.
Communicates effectively with Physicians Administrative staff site supervisors and staff to ensure coordinated efforts.
Recognizes and responds appropriately to the verbal and nonverbal cues of customers.
Communicates Bristol Hospital Multi Specialty Group policies to practices and ensures implementation.
Communicates all pertinent information in a clear concise and timely manner.
Special projects and activities.
Completes special activities within specified parameters.
Compiles and reports to Director of Operations/Administration on special projects.
Participates in required meetings/workshops.
Professional self growth assumed.
Evaluate strengths and weaknesses and seeks appropriate guidelines.
Implements selfimprovement activities based on annual evaluations and feedback from coworkers.
Educational / Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma is required.
Bachelors Degree Preferred.
A minimum of five years of current experience in a related area of the healthcare industry.
Experience in health care billing collections office coding skills including documentation and computer skills.
Medical Terminology required familiarity with insurance claims processing and managed care rules/regulations.
Strong managerial and employee engagement skills.
State/Federal Mandated Licensure or Certification Requirements:
None.
Bristol Hospital Mandated Educational Requirements:
General orientation at time of hire. Fire/Safety/Infection Control annually. CPR Code Blue and other programs as mandated by BHMSG.
Special Requirements:
Strong computer skills aptitude for learning new software programs and ability to assimilate software changes. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate staff.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged sitting at a desk and/or computer terminal. Significant paperwork requiring extensive eye usage. Physically able to handle paperwork and filing. Ability to communicate by speaking and hearing.
Work Environment:
Normal office conditions.
Cognitive Requirements:
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to deal effectively with Physicians clients and other related professional personnel. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills; must be able to reconcile patients accounts and reports expediently. Detailoriented personality. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision necessary. Deadline oriented. Problemsolving skills.
