Elementary PE Teacher
This is aPEposition at Holley Elementary School .50/ .50 FTE at the Sweet Home High School. The position requires a valid Oregon teaching license with a PE endorsements. Experience with RTI PBIS and PLCs highly preferred.The sucessful candidate willhelp students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature able and responsible men and women.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintains a cooperative relationship with fellow staff members students and parents.
- Adheres to and enforces district state and federal laws policies procedures and regulations.
- Teaches District approved curriculum.
- Prepares for classes assigned develops lesson plans and instructional material and provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
- Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
- Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs interests and abilities of the students.
- Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students.
- Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and in harmony with the goals establishes clear objectives for all lessons units projects and the like to communicate these objectives to students.
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and facilities.
- Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
- Diagnoses the learning disabilities of students on a regular basis seeking the assistance of district specialists as required.
- Evaluates pupils academic and social growth keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports as required by law district policies and administrative rules.
- Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct and for the classroom develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedures and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
- Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required.
- Is available to students and parents for educationrelated purposes outside the instructional day.
- Maintains accurate complete and correct records as required by law district policy and administrative regulations.
- Attends and participates in faculty meetings.
- Responds in a cooperative and positive manner to supervision.
- Upon request assists in the selection of books equipment and other instructional materials.
- Attends assemblies
- Assumes responsibility for assigned nonteaching duties.
- Provides for own professional growth through an ongoing program of workshops seminars conferences and/or advanced course work.
