Were seeking an Associate Director to join the LivingLearning Programs team in Blacksburg VA to help us in our mission. This position champions a collaborative unrelenting commitment to advancing livinglearning communities and residential colleges. The Associate Director ensures that our residential colleges and livinglearning communities develop student leaders who live out the Aspirations for Student Learning practice the Principles of Community and reflect the Six Dimensions of Wellbeing. This Associate Director supervises an Assistant Director for Living Learning Programs and/or Program Coordinators (both of whom serve alongside our livein Faculty Principals) and an administrative specialist.

Heres what you need to know about the role:

1 Youll join the Office of LivingLearning Programs team; a department that works to support intentional livinglearning programs efforts for more than 5000 students.

2 Youll report to the Director of LivingLearning Programs in a Regular twelvemonth 100 administrative professional appointment.

3 Along with a partnering Associate Director and the Office of LivingLearning Programs team this position will contribute to the measurable increases in number of students engaged in LLPs (across all student demographics) evidence of LLPs impact on students wellbeing and success and evidence of deep engagement with program directors and faculty principals.

4 Each associate director works with two residential colleges or CIDLLP and roughly 10 livinglearning communities led by a fulltime program director.

5 Youll have the chance to grow and take advantage of a developmental plan with opportunities to advance within the Department and the Division.

6 Youll be offered a base compensation package between $65000 and $69.000 along with a comprehensive benefits package which includes health insurance paid leave retirement tuition assistance VT discounts and so much more!

Required Qualifications

Masters degree and progressive fulltime experience in higher education.
Demonstrated ability to supervise and do administrative work.
Experience planning and coordinating livinglearning experiences.
Articulated commitment to student engagement and success.
Ability to work collaboratively and successfully maintain programmatic excellence.
Demonstrate ability to work with a diverse student body and foster sensitivity to diversity issues in the University community.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience collaborating with faculty.
Experience in the areas of community development.
Demonstrated experience leading committees and task forces.
Experience with budget development and management.
