Job Description
The PreK Teacher will be accountable for the care and supervision of children. Their primary responsibilities are the safety and wellbeing of children in their care but they also provide instruction and educational support in preparation for Kindergarten.
Essential Functions
- Leads the classroom staff to implement a program of instruction that adheres to the schools philosophy goals and objectives.
- Takes initiatives in the classroom and prepares the learning environment daily including centers and activities.
- Maintains a clean and organized classroom daily.
- Leads classroom management and orderly transitions.
- Uses positive words and actions in all communication and interaction with the students.
- Implements daily activities with children.
- Prepare crafts and activities.
- Prepare a learning environment daily including centers and activities.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers staff and administration.
- Assist with snack lunch and rest time.
Position Qualifications
- Minimum of a college degree and 90hour child care certification; able to be lead teacher qualified by the MSDE Office of Child Care.
- An appreciation for young students and their families.
- Willingness to support the mission of the Catholic Faith and the Archdiocese of Baltimore Catholic Schools.
- Teaching certification preferred
Pay Range: $40000 $70000 Annualized
