About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Wildfire Safety Training Assistant to support emergency management wildfire preparedness and climate adaptation initiatives. This role involves assisting the Program Manager with planning community engagement training coordination resource management and logistical support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wildfire preparedness FireSmart principles and climate adaptation along with excellent interpersonal organizational and computer skills.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning implementing and evaluating programs related to emergency management climate readiness and wildfire preparedness.
Engage with communities to promote wildfire preparedness FireSmart initiatives and climate adaptation strategies.
Organize and coordinate training sessions manage equipment and ensure culturally safe engagement with all communities.
Prepare reports track resources and provide logistical support for events and meetings.
Qualifications
Proven experience in wildfire management emergency preparedness or a related field.
Experience in wildfire preparedness FireSmart principles and climate adaptation.
Strong organizational interpersonal and computer skills.
Culturally sensitive approach and experience working with Indigenous communities.
Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel to remote communities.
Salary:
$28 $30 / hr. 35 hours / week.
