Job summary:
To maximize sales and profitability through satisfaction and retention of customers to meet sales forecast/target/budget.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the necessary sales organization to meet sales and profitability objectives i.e. establish staffing levels required and be able to motivate the sales team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Formulate marketing plans and conduct launches and promotions.
- Ensure optimum stock of cars on premises and on order.
- Ensure all administrative functions returns record keeping and clerical operations are carried out and are kept up to date.
- Ensure cost control to budget within the department.
Requirements
Knowledge and skills:
- Minimum of 3 years knowledge in Sales management and marketing.
- Knowledge of the motor industry and extensive understanding of management and operations of a motor dealership.
- Up to date knowledge of consumer/vehicle legislation and trade practices
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills.
- Good business acumen in understanding business operations processes.
- Management and leadership skills.
- Must reside in or around Middelburg.
Qualifications:
- Matric
- Sales management and marketing qualification or equivalent
- Valid drivers license
