As an Adult Services Team Leader you will:

  • Empower a team of Support Workers to provide highquality and safe services to vulnerable persons within our community

  • Coach and mentor a team of Support Workers offering onthejob training support and guidance

  • Inspire a skilled versatile and diverse team utilising your experience in managing performance and delivering support

  • Support service delivery by ensuring effective and efficient administrative processes and procedures including quality timely and accurate reporting planning and recordkeeping



You will have:

  • Advanced problemsolving capabilities confidence and emotional intelligence that enable you to resolve complex situations

  • The ability to interact positively at all levels including demonstrated capacity to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities

  • Demonstrated ability to lead motivate and performance manage a team within a dynamic and fast paced environment

  • Effective conflict resolution skills negotiation mediation and decisionmaking skills paired with exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to confidently apply deescalation strategies in high conflict situations

  • Demonstrated ability to build a cohesive team with clarity around goals and accountabilities

  • A leadership style that fosters innovative creative and collaborative practices and the ability to motivate others

  • Willingness to take a personcentred approach to working with vulnerable persons to ensure that the goals and aspirations of the person with disability are understood

  • Celebrate and nurture an inclusive diverse and supportive workplace

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Disability Services Community Services or similar field; or identify as Aboriginal and be willing to work towards a relevant qualification

  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs behaviours of concern and mental health concerns

  • Experience working with people with a disability highly regarded

Compliance requirements

  • Current NSW Drivers licence

  • Obtain and maintain a current paid Working with Children Check (WWCC)

  • Obtain and maintain a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme Workers Check (NDISWC)

  • Willingness to undertake a preemployment police check

  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification
