As an Automation Engineering Technical Manager you will be accountable to ensure compliant accurate and timely completion of corrective emergency and preventive maintenance on automation systems and equipment at our Fort Worth TX Main Manufacturing Facility!

In this role a typical day will include:

• Lead warehouse workflow optimization initiatives using bestinclass robotics and automation solutions.

• Accountable for improving and optimizing North America warehouse processes and operations through consolidation control and project management governance.

• Collaborate with thirdparty vendors to implement tailored automation solutions across multiple sites.

• Initiate manage and document equipment/process improvement projects including budget oversight for projects over $100K.

• Collect and interpret information on present and future distribution needs for strategic planning purposes

• Align and develop intercompany KPIs to strengthen supply chain collaboration integrate predictive AI capabilities into a centralized Control Tower and implement corrective actions to address behindschedule conditions.

• Troubleshoot document and resolve equipment and process control system issues while ensuring compliance with change control activities.

• Diagnose failures through indepth data analysis and control system logic review including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) such as Allen Bradley.

• Provide daily oversight of system support coordinate special distribution efforts and contribute to strategic planning for future distribution needs.

• Collaborates with and supports coworkers to strengthen the organizations capabilities facilitates knowledge transfer through peertopeer training and drives personal and professional growth for both self and team.

• Estimates labor and equipment costs by analyzing engineering processes and preparing purchase requisitions.

What Youll Bring to Alcon:

• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 13 yrs; Assoc.9 yrs; M.S.2 yrs; PhD0 yrs)

• The ability to fluently read write understand and communicate in English

• 5 Years of Relevant Experience
