As a Principal Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Core Banking team you will be at the heart of our venture focused on getting smart ideas into the hands of our customers. Job responsibilities
- Leads multiple technology and process implementations across departments to achieve firm wide technology objectives
- Directly manages multiple areas with strategic transactional focus
- Provides leadership and highlevel direction to teams while frequently overseeing employee populations across multiple platforms divisions and lines of business
- Acts as the primary interface with senior leaders stakeholders and executives driving consensus across competing objectives
- Manages multiple stakeholders complex projects and large crossproduct collaborations
- Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business product and technology teams
- Champions the firms culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
- Drive the development of the core banking platform helping with the long term product strategy and leading its daytoday
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10 years applied experience
- Hands on coding expertise on Java/Kotlin
- Experience developing or leading large or crossfunctional teams of technologists.
- Demonstrated prior experience influencing across highly matrixed complex organizations and delivering value at scale.
- Experience leading complex projects supporting system design testing and operational stability.
- Experience with hiring developing and recognizing talent.
- Extensive practical cloud native experience.
- Expertise in Computer Science Computer Engineering Mathematics or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated prior experience of developing and rolling out a product at large scale.
- Experience working at code level.
- Experience designing high throughput and highly observable systems.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Previous experience working in Payments Technology and/or knowledge of retail banking products.
- Previous experience in building market infrastructure for payment networks like UPI Visa Mastercard SEPA FPS or BACS
