The Headlines: In the role ofSenior Financial Analystyou will be part of the Commercial Finance team. In this role you will provide finance support to various functions inside and outside of finance for budgeting planning/forecasting reporting and analysis in a variety of areas.
This position is based in Toronto and reports directly to the Senior Manager of Marketing & OnPremise and works closely with our marketing and sales organization.
The Responsibilities:
Use accounting principles and knowledge of internal controls in preparing accurate complete and timely financial reporting of marketing and trade expenditures.
Monitor and communicate business results including variance analysis of actual spend versus budget forecast and previous year.
Work with business partners to develop and consolidate monthly forecasting and annual budgets.
Use financial analytics to develop insights and recommendations to help drive business results.
Educate commercial team on financial acumen local finance policies and procedures
TheOtherQualifications:
You have a university degree with (or working towards) accounting designation (CPA CA CMA CGA)
You have 23 years relevant work experience
You have experience in business with high volume of transactions strong Excel skills and an understanding of financial software (SAP preferred)
You have strong analytical skills attention to details and critical thinking capabilities and you can effectively work in a team environment
You are confident professional and an effective communicator capable in developing and maintaining excellent relationships within the business
