Montgomery County Recreation is a nationally recognized and awardwinning agency committed to providinghighquality diverse and accessible programs services and facilities that enhance the quality of life for all ages culturesand abilities. The department manages 39 facilities including recreation centers senior centers and indoor and outdoor aquatic facilitiesand provides thousands of programs such as outofschool activities aquatics classes youth and adult sports programs and leagues senior programs and therapeuticrecreation.

AsaSite Directoryouwill:
Greet andassistparticipants and visitors with a professional friendly and welcoming attitude.
Provide exceptional customer service bypromptlylooking up and sharingaccurateinformation.
Set up andbreak downequipment.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipmentand facility.
Monitor activitiesand participant engagement toensure a clean safeand supportiveenvironment.
Problemsolveand troubleshoot during programs and activities or within a facilityand respond to emergencies.
Initiatecleaning and organizing of facility or programto ensure safety and readiness for use.
Be knowledgeableof andenforceprogram and facilityrules and requirements.

Serve asanAfterSchool Activities CoordinatorAfterSchool Site DirectorLeagueor EventCoordinator
Provide Supervision to large groupsoffsite andserve asa key ambassador for the department.
Provideleadership andsupervision in schoolbased or recreationfacilitybased programsor activities including but not limited tosports outofschool time programsspecial events etc.
Supervise plan leadcoordinateor evaluatea recreation activity.
Work collaboratively with partners to deliverprograms or servicesoffsite or in recreation facilities.
Collect and process registrations andpaymentswhile safeguarding financial and personal information.
Assistwith administrative processes such as answering phones and returning calls completing reportsmaintainingrecordsscheduling orderingchecking in participants contractors guestsetc.
To be a successfulSite Directoryou MUST:
Be able to followandgivedirections and answer inquiries professionally and with a welcoming attitude.
Work as part of a teammaintainrelationshipsattend requiredtrainingandparticipatein staff meetings.
Exercise tactjudgment and maturity tomaintainorder ensureappropriate behavior andmaintainsafety.
Be skilledinmanaging large groups supervising seasonal staff and volunteers; and mustcommunicate expectations of the activity or program to staff volunteers and participants.
Have considerable technical knowledge of the recreation programs for which responsible.
Experience: Six thousand two hundred and forty6240hours 3years)of relevant work experience as a leader or instructor in one or more recreation activities.
Education:Completionof two2years in college.
Equivalency:An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
