Under the supervision of a licensed Program Team Supervisor the Mental Health Specialist Children and Family Services will:
- Provide thorough and complete integrated biopsychosocial assessment at intake and annually to assess person served history and identify treatment needs using a traumainformed approach.
- Develops a personcentered plan with each assigned person served to identify needs and interventions to meet those needs and reviews plan at stated levels.
- Provides individual therapy family therapy group therapy and case management services utilizing evidencebased practices.
- Conduct visits with assigned person served in the community or office in alignment with the individual plan of service (IPOS) to ensure level of care is adequate to the needs of the client.
- Obtain and maintain PECFAS CAFAS and/or LOCUS raterreliability and conduct assessments as clinically appropriate.
- Connect families to community resources and provide education on how to access and utilize supports independently.
- Focuses on improving functional skills in the areas of education employment social supports wellness selfmanagement and residential stability.
- Provide crisis intervention when needed. Completion of lethality risk assessments as indicated (e.g. suicide/homicide/potential for violence/substance use) with dispositions and recommendations that are included in IPOS.
- Participate in applicable team meetings as assigned to promote coordination of care.
- Completes the appropriate level of functioning tools at policy stated intervals.
- Provide basic coordination of services for each assigned person served as needed or required by the treatment plan to coordinate treatment services.
- Complete all required documentation completely accurately and in accordance with CNS
- Meet direct service productivity and documentation standards per agency and program expectations.
- Provide transportation to individuals served as needed.
- Maintain and updates clinical knowledge by readings inservice training in designated areas and other activities in consultation with clinical supervisor. Complete at least 24 hours of inservice training to maintain CMHP credentials.
- Maintain compliance with quality care initiatives including Meaningful Use (MU) Medicare Merit Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) requirements.
- Ensure that the CNS Healthcare standards of service are applied to interactions with individuals served guests and staff.
- Assume responsibility for professional growth by current reading and attendance at educational programs and conferences.
- Maintain knowledge and compliance with established policies and procedures corporate compliance program code of ethics applicable federal state and local laws and regulations HIPAA standards and other regulatory programs.

Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Social Work Counseling Psychology or Marriage and Family Therapy
- Obtain Child Mental Health (CMHP) designation within 1 year of hire and then maintain throughout employment.
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft office products
- Ability to work closely with persons with mental or physical limitations
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively and build positive working relationships
- Knowledge and experience with interventions used to treat psychiatric substance use intellectual and developmental disabilities and diagnoses.
- Ability to use discretion and judgmental when handling matters of a sensitive or confidential nature
- Ability to contribute to an inclusive environment that recognizes the value and contributions of all persons regardless of race ethnicity national origin gender religion age marital status sexual orientation gender identity or disability
Preferred
- At least one year of experience in the examination evaluation and treatment of minors and their families can include internship or field placement experience.
- Proficient in the use of electronic health records (EHRs)
- Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) designation
- Prior experience working with all age groups including children; solution focused brief therapy; substance use and cooccurring disorders treatment; stages of change and/or motivational interviewing.
- Prior experience in a community mental health setting.
