Job Description

Fixed Term Full Time 1.0 FTE) Contract for 2 years.

The Role:

Menzies is looking for a Project Manager to work as part of the newly established Remote Health Systems and Climate Change Centre (RHC3 based in Mparntwe (Alice Springs). RHC3 embodies a rapidly growing health systems strengthening and multisectoral research program emphasising equitable service delivery and the social determinants of health in remote Australia and overseas.

The Project Manager will work with RHC3 and Divisional staff to ensure compliance with funding agreements build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders and engage with teams across Menzies in relevant strategic and operational areas. In addition to project management the Project Manager will have the opportunity to develop research skills with support from RHC3 researchers.

About you:

As a highly motivated individual you come with highly developed communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally to a range of audiences including people from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds.

You also have:

  • A relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualification (e.g. Accounting Business Project Management); or extensive relevant experience; or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
  • Experience in researchrelated project management and/or coordination including preparation of researchrelated documents (e.g. ethics documents requests for health administrative data from data custodians).
  • Demonstrated financial management experience including a sound knowledge of budgetary processes invoicing payments and acquittals and experience in managing multiple budgets concurrently.

The Benefits:

  • Base Salary$114014 $124170 per annum (Total remuneration package including superannuation $140169 $151 747 per annum).
  • Generous leave provisions including 6 weeks annual leave.
  • Salary packaging up to $15900 per annum and $2650 meal and entertainment card tax free.
  • Option to increase Super to 14.
