Senior Executive (Manager) (IT) Transaction Strategy and EY Parthenon

EYs market leading Transaction Strategy and (TSE) team provides Technology & Operations advice to corporate and private equity firms who intend to acquire divest or restructure businesses to improve their value. The team comprises advisors with specialist commercial operations technical and deal / transaction experience from industry advisory and audit backgrounds.

The opportunity

We are seeking to further expand our team with technology consultants who work across a range of sectors that includePrivate Equity Digital Telecoms Media and Technology (TMT). As a Senior Executive in our team youll advise clients across all sectors supporting key decision makers in developing and executing strategies for transactions use your intellectual guileand enthusiasm to apply your technical skills across the M&A transaction lifecycle; including value creation predeal diligence portfolio review and corporate carveouts & integrations.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Executive within our TSE team youd assist in aspects of business origination including pitches and presentations and attending meetings with clients to help sell work and work in a transaction environmentoperating under tight M&A timeframes and demands and be familiar working in a largescale consultingenvironment or industry role. As a consultant youd use your prior technology sector knowledge and work on projects across digital transformation technology transformation AI and big data.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strategic Planning and : Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance EBITDA and company performance and drive value creation.
  • Financial Analysis and Modelling: Conduct indepth financial analysis and build robust financial models to support investment decisions and value creation strategies.
  • Operational and Technology Led Improvement: Identify and execute operational and technology improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency reduce costs and increase profitability.
  • Performance Monitoring: Experience in monitoring and designing measures to monitor company performance against key metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Due Diligence Mindset: Experience in thinking through investment initiatives risks and opportunities to assess the value creation potential of new investment opportunities.
  • Exit Strategy Planning: Develop and execute exit strategies to maximize returns on investment including preparing companies for sale or public offering.
  • Innovation and Transformation: Drive innovation and transformational change within companies to unlock new sources of value.
  • Change Management: Manage and support change initiatives to ensure successful implementation and adoption of value creation strategies.
  • DataDriven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics and insights to inform value creation strategies and measure their impact.
  • Develop experience of a range of different type of engagements including value creation (e.g. synergy realization technology enabled revenue growth cost reduction) predeal (e.g. operational and technology due diligence carveout planning) postdeal (e.g. integration planning tracking) and restructuring.
  • Lead blended project teams comprising colleagues from our transactions and advisory practices as well as leading meetings with senior client stakeholders to advise shape and drive the strategy and planning for integration carveout / separation and operational restructuring.
  • Contribute to management of each engagement including commercials and risk.
  • Contribute to our practice development initiatives supporting the continued focus on our team as a great place to work.
  • You would act as a role model and support development of junior team members coupled with the recruitment and training responsibilities.
  • Be familiar working in a largescale consulting environment or industry role where you can demonstrate the ability to perform and summarise analysis into management insights and recommended actions at pace.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Proven experience and ability to communicate with clarity and impact to senior stakeholders. This may be demonstrable through leading large projects with senior visibility success at presenting technical topics to non technical audiences or speaking at events.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with company management teams and other stakeholders to align on value creation objectives and strategies.
  • Strong written skills and experience of producing and reviewing high calibre reports papers presentations and thought leadership.
  • A track record of successful project delivery in corporate businesses where you are responsible for managing project team members and vendors Have a broad range of IT experience including infrastructure applications databases and networks.
  • Professional services / consulting experience within Transactions: ideally due diligence value creation carveout or integrations experience; or
  • Deep understanding of one or more core aspects of a technology or technology orientedfunction (eg software engineering CIO CTO networking AI transformation technology product delivery etc).

Ideally youll also have

  • Experience in building strong working relationships with senior clients including influence advice and support to key decision makers.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Experience in supporting sales and business development processes for professional services projects in a largescale consulting environment
