We are seeking an experienced professional with the emerging skills of the future to be a Lead HR Business Partner for the Global Retirement and Insurance (GRI) GRI Center. This candidate is a collaborative and resourceful leader who will take initiative thrive in a fastpaced environment and will be excited about being part of a team responsible for driving organizational change. You should be comfortable operating in an agile environment and possess solid experience successfully navigating the complexities of a large matrixed organization.

Your team:

You will be part of the People organization in GRI business supporting various embedded and functional groups including Brand Digital & Marketing and GRI Data/Service & Technology. You will partner with the Senior Leaders providing day to day strategic HR business consultation and be a member of the various Senior Leadership Teams along with your direct reports. You will be joining a team of HR thought leaders like yourself who youll form strong partnerships with to collectively drive talent strategy and outcomes that will deliver business value and customer impact. You will provide leadership to a team of HR Business Partners and a dedicated Squad of HR professionals.

Your role:

You will partner with the Senior Business and functional Leaders various SLTs your dedicated Squad and People Team CoEs to implement and execute HR strategies based on the business strategy focused on talent management organizational effectiveness inclusion and diversity culture transformation and employee engagement. You will build relationships across multiple leaders and employees within the center and across the embedded teams. This role requires a high degree of collaboration and coordination across key stakeholders and partners and requires an ability to bring together the talent strategies across multiple groups and disciplines. You will provide guidance and consultative support across multiple leaders and drive HR BAU and special projects as needed. You will need the curiosity and willingness to keep learning and taking on new challenges courage to make and influence tough talent decisions and resilience to push for what the future and enterprise needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Be an active member of the Senior Leadership Teams for the various clients to architect and drive the talent strategy and talent development inclusive of culture inclusion and diversity to deliver on business objectives.
  • Own multiple business and functional relationships; have a strong understanding of the enterprise objectives to advise business leaders on organizational design and effectiveness with an eye towards identifying building and sustaining a capability led organization
  • Build high performing senior leadership teams to increase engagement and productivity for the organization
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and daytoday coach to the Senior Leaders and SLTs
  • Know and develop top talent within your group (focus on 6P) and ensure their mobility and development
  • Provide insight and counsel regarding development efforts change management and communications strategy
  • Deliver on talent priorities by providing leadership to and leveraging the Squad Talent Acquisition Partner Total Rewards Partner and Talent Partner and tools and resources from the CoEs
  • Use HR data to develop relevant and effective talent strategies and solutions
  • Direct and enable senior business leaders to execute all cyclical processes: annual compensation process performance management succession planning and the Engagement Quotient (EQ) etc
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key partners across the Prudential People organization; collaborate and build alignment crossfunctionally to ensure we are leveraging Prudentials people capabilities
  • Partner and collaborate with Employee Relations CoE on sensitive employee matters
  • Proactively attract and recruit external and develop internal world class talent including diverse talent for the business partnering with talent acquisition and proactive workforce planning
  • Lead transformative change efforts within the team and support efforts across the People team and the enterprise

The current Employee Work Arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your onsite presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business in our Newark NJ office.

What youll need to succeed:

Qualifications

  • BA/BS from an accredited college/university preferred
  • 10 years HR generalist experience; solid experience in all major HR disciplines

Itd be a plus if you have:

  • Advanced degree in relevant discipline a plus; MBA preferred
  • PHR/SPHR certification
  • Human Resources experience with Fortune 500 companies

What we offer you:

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $213000.00 to $288200.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location candidate experience and skills.
