Job Description
Overview/ Job Responsibilities
Sev1Tech is seeking a Network Engineer II to join our mission in providing bestinclass security infrastructure and technology managed services in the Denver area.
The Network Engineer II will assist with one of our customers in updating and replacing endoflife gear for Cisco devices across multiple sites throughout the U.S. Consulting on additional projects during surge periods as necessary the Network Engineer is a key player on our team and is responsible for the following:
- Maintaining and administering Cisco network routers and switches
- Documenting scheduling and coordinating resources for remote sites during implementation
- Actively tracking documenting request and incident information in appropriate IT Service Management tool
- Installing and configuring network equipment
- Administering routers and switches
- Troubleshooting fiber wireless switching and routing connections
- Project engineering work required
Salary: 130000 DOE
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in a Cisco network environment
- CCNA certification
- Experience with Catalyst Manager
- Experience with provisioning switches for lifecycle replacement
- Experience with enterprise level change management protocols
- Proven network engineering network operations and network performance analysis skills
- Expert level communication documentation and teamwork skills
- Handson troubleshooting capabilities
- Ability to work with little supervision to execute highly technical and complex tasks
Desired Qualifications
- Juniper engineering experience for surge project support
