Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all activities of employees assigned to the department.
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards using all resources and support available.
- Ensure that everyone in the department follow all safety rules and report unsafe conditions as soon as reasonably possible.
- Coordinate required repair with Maintenance Tooling etc.
- Communicate effectively with team leaders and members of the department by continually updating them on all information affecting the efficient and safe operations within the department.
- Liaise with all support departments to resolve problems.
- Direct the department in a manner that promotes high morale trust team work training pride productivity and quality.
- Accurately complete and promptly distribute paperwork associated with the position i.e. data collection labor reporting s reporting employee evaluations accident reporting corrective action notices employee transaction notices and any other administrative functions relating to the position and Downtime / Rework charting.
- Ensure Housekeeping requirements are met.
- Any reasonable request deemed necessary by management.
Has the responsibility and authority to:
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformitys relating to product process and quality system.
- Identify and record any problems relating to the product process and quality system.
- Verify the implementation of solutions.
- Control further processing delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least two years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum six months experience in Production Units.
- Excellent written mathematical and analytical skills.
- Good technical understanding of department machinery processes etc.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Follow ISO 14001 Procedures and Work Instructions.
