About your new role:
The chef is a key role with responsibility for the efficient of facilitybased catering whilst providing effective leadership of the kitchen employees on a shift basis.
Duties:
- Prepare cook and serve food in accordance with menus ensuring a high level of quality and presentation is achieved at all times according to agreed standards.
- Assist the Head Chef in the daytoday operation of the kitchen in their absence.
- Meet agreed food cost targets.
- Maintaining HACCP procedures and practices.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and plant in good condition.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in the hospitality environment creating and motivating an innovative team that is able to achieve high standards of Customer Service
- Must have a high expectation in terms of quality and satisfaction and the ability to share this with the team
- The ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Capacity to lift up to 20kg.
- Commitment to providing a customercentric approach
- Ability to pass a National Police Check
- Willingness to undergo a preemployment medical
