We have an exciting opportunity for a Young Persons ResilienceWorker to join our Walsall Service. Our Young Person Resilience Workers play an integral role within Change Grow Live proactively engaging young people aged 25 and under in a range of interventions using a young personcentred approach.

The team supports young people with their or their loved ones drug and/or alcohol issues. The Young Persons team is part of the Integrated Substance Misuse service in Walsall.You will support our young people working together with our partners in Walsall including children services Youth Justice Service and various education settings.

Youllhave to record information about what you do so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the timeyoullbe enjoying working withyoungpeople from all backgrounds making a difference to their lives.

Location: Walsall

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week

Full Time Salary Range: 27861..35 dependent on experience pro rata for part time hours

Contract Type: Fixed term contract until 31st March 2026

Responsibilities

About the role:

  • Equipping young people with the skills and knowledge they need to make safer and informed decisions around and alcohol
  • Providing screening assessment psychosocial interventions integrated care planning post treatment support including transfer of care
  • Delivering training and group work facilitating community events and outreach for Young Adults within the Walsall area
  • Joint working withpartner agencies delivering training and groupwork attending risk and safeguarding meetings and providing feedback

About you:

  • Experience of working with young people and knowledge of the issues they face
  • Knowledge of safeguarding concerns in relation to children and young people and the Fraser Competence and Gillick competence framework in relation to vulnerable adults young people and their families
  • Have experience of working within a multiagency team
  • Be a confident communicator who can initiate conversations with young people young adults and other professionals
  • Have experience of delivering group work and training/workshops or be willing to learn
