Job Description:
The Government Sales Head is responsible for leading the government sales team and driving sales growth in the government sector. They will develop and implement sales strategies build relationships with government agencies and manage the endtoend sales process. The Government Sales Head will work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment with government procurement procedures and compliance with regulations
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth in the government sector
- Identify and pursue business opportunities with government agencies at the local state and federal levels
- Build and maintain relationships with key decisionmakers and stakeholders in government agencies
- Understand government procurement procedures regulations and compliance requirements
- Lead and manage the government sales team providing guidance coaching and support to achieve sales targets
- Monitor and analyze market trends competitor activities and government policies that may impact sales opportunities
- Track and report sales performance forecasts and pipeline activities to senior management
- Participate in industry conferences trade shows and networking events to enhance brand visibility and generate leads
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including legal finance and operations to ensure smooth of government contracts
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Sales or a related field (MBA preferred)
7 years of expce in government eriensales preferably in a similar industry or sector
Proven track record of successfully closing sales deals with government agencies
Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with government officials and stakeholders
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and drive a sales team
Analytical mindset and ability to use data to drive sales strategies and decisionmaking
Ability to work collaboratively and crossfunctionally within the organization
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suit
