Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as anOperations Planner Space Domain Awareness Craftsman to work out of Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado.

PAY: $148000 $163000

JOB SUMMARY:

USfalcon is seeking an Operations Planner Space Domain Awareness (SDA) to support the 392d Combat Training Squadrons 392 CTS) USSF Exercise Team at Schriever SFB CO. The team supports the 392 CTSled USSF exercises (e.g. SPACE FLAG (SF) POLARIS HAMMER Flashpoint and SKIES series). These exercises are designed to prepare Guardians to execute operations in a realistic contested degraded and operationally limited (CDO) environment against a thinking and determined adversary. This Operations Planner position provides SDA subject matter expertise and coordinates with internal and external SDA stakeholders to design develop plan execute and assess 392CTSled USSF exercises Flashpoint events and missionfocused events. This position is at Schriever SFB CO and requires onsite support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Serves as the USSF Exercise teams primary interface with Delta 2 and its subordinate units.
  • Gathers information establishes liaisons and coordinates with key internal and external USSF exercise stakeholders to integrate SDA training requirements into USSF servicelevel exercises Flashpoint events or missionfocused events.
  • Works with USSF exercise planners to develop SDA exercise scenario timing effects anticipated player actions etc.
  • Coordinates manning and support requirements with USSF exercise team subject matter experts and representatives from Delta 2 and its associated units.
  • Identifies gaps and shortfalls in M&S tools needed to provide realistic exercise environments.
  • Assists with USSF exercise planning conferences coordination meetings training events etc.
  • Participates as part of the USSF servicelevel exercise White Cell and Exercise Control Group.
  • Captures analyzes and reports observations and lessons learned identified during the design planning and of USSF exercises Flashpoint events and missionfocused events.
  • Supports hot wash debriefs and afteraction report development after each USSF servicelevel exercise Flashpoint event or Delta 2related missionfocused event.
  • Prepares eventrelated documents (i.e. trip reports exercise planning/ products afteraction reports lessons learned meeting minutes) within contractual time frames.
  • Carries out tasks as directed by contract leadership required to ensure 392 CTS mission success.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 510 years of Space Domain Awareness experience.
  • Experience working with Delta 2 and its subordinate units CSpOC or the NSDC.
  • Experience working with orbital warfare payload missions.
  • Understanding of the Space Surveillance Network (SSN) tasking procedures satellite catalog maintenance and the relationships between Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC) interagency and coalition SSA partners.
  • This position requires limited travel (less than 45 weeks/year).

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience coordinating SDA capabilities in support of rendezvous proximity operations (RPO).
  • Level III certified in STK
  • Previously certified Orbital Analyst
  • Graduate of Space 300 and the 319 CTS/ASOPS Advanced Orbital Mechanics courses

    EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

    • Bachelors degree from accredited university in a related field; additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement

    REQUIRED CLEARANCE: Top Secret/SCI
