Job Description
Job Title: Social Worker (Children)
Location: Barnsley
Working Hours: Hybrid
Rate: 35 per hour
Liquid Personnel are looking for a practitioner who has experience of working in a children in care role to join Barnsleys CIC Team.
Responsibilities:
As a Social Worker within the CIC team you will work in partnership with children young people and their families/carers building effective relationships to elicit their needs and views and promote participation in decisionmaking. You will communicate skillfully and confidently in complex or highrisk situations understanding the benefits and limitations of partnership work. Your role will involve undertaking assessments in accordance with statutory regulatory and operational standards anticipating assessing and managing risk to children and young people in more complex situations and producing highquality assessments. You will plan implement and review a range of interventions for children young people and families/carers manage a complex workload independently and establish a network of internal and external colleagues for advice and expertise. You will model and help others with effective workload management skills make proactive use of supervision to support effective practice reflection and career development and meet the objectives of Professional Development Reviews. Maintaining accurate uptodate records safely and confidentially in accordance with the Councils policies and procedures producing succinct wellstructured records and reports and clearly recording and reporting analysis and judgments will be essential. You will proactively engage with colleagues and a range of organizations to identify assess plan for and support the needs of children young people and families/carers to promote positive change and independence demonstrating confident and effective judgment about risk to children and young people. Additionally you will play a positive role in practice development within the team through mentoring and modeling good practice in assessment interventions interprofessional and interagency work. You will meet the requirements of the Professional Capabilities Framework at the Experienced Social Worker level and maintain registration with the Health Care Professions Council in respect of practice standards conduct and professional development.
