Job Title: CSW - Senior Social Worker - CIN Provider Services
1 month contract with a Local Authority
Job Purpose
- To provide high-quality social work services to children and families in need ensuring the safety well-being and development of children through effective assessment planning and intervention. This role involves managing complex cases completing family assessments holding CIN and CP plans and initiating court proceedings where necessary.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Undertake comprehensive Family Assessments in line with statutory requirements and best practice standards.
- Manage a caseload of children subject to Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) plans ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Initiate and lead court proceedings where necessary preparing high-quality reports and presenting evidence in court.
- Work collaboratively with children families and multi-agency partners to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced social workers and contribute to team development.
Essential Experience Required
- Proven experience in statutory children s social work particularly within Children in Need and Child Protection services.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases and initiate court proceedings.
Essential Qualification Required
- Degree in Social Work (or equivalent qualification).
- Social Work England registration (essential).
Additional Information
- Working hours: 35 hours per week
- Enhanced DBS is required for this role.
