JOB SUMMARY
The Technology Product Owner works with the development team the end users as well as product management to ensure the technical team is building a viable effective and value driven product. You will be responsible for managing the vision and of product development through the development lifecycle and beyond.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the product vision and roadmap and define growth opportunities. Convey the value of new and emerging products technologies or applications to senior management across a diverse product team.
- Define the product backlog and create actionable user stories for the development teams.
- Accept the completed user stories to make sure the work fulfills the criteria
- Consult with users across the company to gather requirements and solicit user feedback; translate required features into stories based on usable solution design.
- Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process collaborating with project stakeholders (internal and external) and IT throughout development.
- Partner with engineering and project management resources to accurately scope work and coordinate necessary resources.
- Lead design for a standalone user interface (UI) in collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with project and coding standards and processes.
- Play an active role in removing any barriers impacting successful team completion of product development.
- Help the business stakeholders define and orchestrate user acceptance testing (UAT) plans and ensure stories and enablers meet acceptance criteria.
- Perform or oversee QA testing and facilitate UAT prior to delivery.
- Leverage postimplementation feedback to inform product priorities for subsequent phases of development.
- Provide input to training and communications based on functionality and design as required; conduct training as needed.
- Support users across the organization answering questions making recommendations and providing a transparent view of priorities and progress.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Work well in a team environment to manage project workload and to facilitate the delivery of projects
- Expertisewith Scrum Agile in deliverable management and in prioritization of team assignment
- Expertise in cloudbased methodologies and practices
- Knowledge of database structure and best practices
- Project management/issue tracking software exposure
- Strong analytical problemsolving and troubleshooting skills; with the ability to collect organize analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to operate in fastpaced environment and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- Ability to work with employees throughout the company to quickly understand scope requirements and proposed architecture and solutions.
- Ability to effectively define estimate and execute technical projects.
- Innate curiosity and desire to learn and explore new emerging technologies.
- Ability to formulate TSQL Queries in Microsoft SQL or MySQL preferred.
- Knowledge of Qlik or similar Data Visualization tool (i.e. Tableau Microsoft Power BI etc. preferred.
- Familiarity with statistics and complex data models for leveraging meaningful insights preferred.
- Ability to work with novice users to design implement and maintain BI reports / dashboards preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE MINIMUM REQUIRED
5 years of related experience
