About the role
We are seeking an experienced Mobile App Engineer to develop and optimize our customerfacing mobile application and web portal as part of our inhouse Charge Point Management System (CPMS). Reporting into the Head of Engineering this role will be responsible for enhancing the app and web portal which are 70 productionready to achieve feature parity with the incumbent SaaS solution. Following the migration the focus will shift to building innovative features and capabilities to deliver a marketleading experience for both Android and iOS users
Key responsibilities:
Native Mobile Development:
- Develop and maintain highquality native mobile applications for iOS and Android using Swift and Kotlin.
Performance Optimization:
- Optimize mobile apps for speed memory usage and battery efficiency.
API Integration:
- Work with REST/GraphQL APIs developed in FastAPI for realtime data synchronization.
Collaboration & Feedback:
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to align app features with CPMS functionalities including the integration of OCPP/OCPI protocols.
Testing & Debugging:
- Write and maintain automated tests to ensure application stability and quality.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes and skills:
Knowledge & Experience:
- Proven experience developing and launching mobile applications for iOS and Android.
- Familiarity with mobile performance profiling tools and debugging techniques.
- Experience with backend integration for realtime data syncing.
- Knowledge of Agile development processes and version control tools like Git.

- Ability to understand and consider the broader business context and longterm implications of technical decisions.
- Willingness to take ownership innovate and proactively seek opportunities to drive impact beyond immediate tasks.
- Strong focus on delivering solutions that align with business goals and address realworld challenges effectively.

Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android).
- Strong experience in API integration and backend technologies like Python and FastAPI.
- Familiarity with containerized backend environments using Docker.
- Strong problemsolving and debugging skills.
- Knowledge of crossplatform optimization techniques.

Location
